"Dignity Through Every Chapter."

Mary Keenan, RN, MSN, CHPN

Palliative and End of Life Doula, Nurse

Perhaps they are not really stars in the sky but openings from heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

- Eskimo Proverb

Mary is an RN, with a master’s degree in nursing (MSN). She is certified in hospice and palliative nursing (CHPN), and End-of-Life Doula. Mary started her career in Nursing in the early 80’s. She worked in the acute care hospital setting for 17 years, then through her own personal and spiritual growth felt called to work in the hospice arena. Since 1998 she has worn many hats in the hospice industry, and feels Palliative and End of Life Care is her true calling. Mary feels working with patients and families during this sacred time has enriched her life and made her a better person. In her own words: “The human spirit amazes me! My goal is to take the fear and stigma out of the dying process; and that those I serve leave this world peacefully on their own terms.”

Bob and Elizabeth are just very gentle souls. There was no pressure and shared with my wife Rachel and I the many options you have to consider. It felt just like someone putting their arms around you.

For us as a family, Bob and Elizabeth gave us the tranquility and support that we needed at that moment. It made a total difference in the way my Dad passed away. It allowed me to be the daughter and not a nurse.
