Elizabeth Uslander, MSW MTS

Co-Founder, Spiritual Director

The only true gift is a portion of yourself.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Elizabeth Uslander, MSW, MTS is the co-founder and the spiritual director of Empowered Endings. She’s a loving guide and conscious entrepreneur dedicated to facilitating transformation and empowerment in her fields of expertise.

Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She then completed a Master of Theological Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington before graduating cum laude with honors from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles with her Master of Social Work. Following her early spiritual awakening and extensive study and training, Elizabeth has served as a Spiritual Counselor and Medical Social Worker in the fields of spiritual transformation, end of life and grief care, healing family trauma, and human rights advocacy. Empowered Endings is the culmination of her life’s journey and work in healing and empowerment.

Elizabeth founded her spiritual care and coaching practice Voyages to offer transformational support not traditionally available in the modern medical model. She provides clients a nurturing environment as they journey together to heal the wounds of a lifetime and navigate life’s major transitions. Elizabeth’s unique therapeutic and educational modality integrates psychological practices with spiritual philosophies from ancient and modern traditions to facilitate whole-person balance, alignment, and wellbeing.

Prior to establishing Empowered Endings and Voyages, Elizabeth served in communities nationwide, from the East Coast to the West, as a bilingual medical practice director, spiritual director, operations director, hospice and home health social worker, bereavement counselor, volunteer coordinator, research assistant, executive administrative assistant, community resource liaison, elementary school teacher, and healing arts practitioner.

Bob and Elizabeth are just very gentle souls. There was no pressure and shared with my wife Rachel and I the many options you have to consider. It felt just like someone putting their arms around you.

For us as a family, Bob and Elizabeth gave us the tranquility and support that we needed at that moment. It made a total difference in the way my Dad passed away. It allowed me to be the daughter and not a nurse.
