Elizabeth Uslander, MSW, MTS

Co-Founder and CEO

The only true gift is a portion of yourself.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Elizabeth Uslander, MSW, MTS is at the helm of the movement to humanize healthcare by empowering patients and families in palliative, end of life, grief and spiritual care. As the Co-Founder and CEO, she works to fill gaps in traditional healthcare and facilitate paradigm shifts in her fields of expertise.

Following her early spiritual awakening and extensive experience in spiritual care, social work, education and advocacy, Elizabeth developed a model of care that combines deep interpersonal relationships with a unique blend of psychology, philosophy, and spiritual practices that support healing as she guides clients through the challenges of life’s major transitions. She founded Voyages to offer transformational support not traditionally available in the modern medical model.

Elizabeth is a multilingual, community creator with a love of travel, family, and art. She earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude with distinguished honors from Georgetown University before going on to receive her Master of Social Work cum laude with distinguished honors from University of Southern California, and her Master of Theological Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary.

Prior to becoming a social entrepreneur, founding Empowered Endings and Voyages, Elizabeth served communities through the United States as a multilingual spiritual director, chief operations officer, medical practice director, hospice and home health social work, bereavement counselor, volunteer coordinator, research assistant, executive administrative assistant, elementary school teacher, community resource liaison, and healing arts practitioner.

Bob and Elizabeth are just very gentle souls. There was no pressure and shared with my wife Rachel and I the many options you have to consider. It felt just like someone putting their arms around you.

For us as a family, Bob and Elizabeth gave us the tranquility and support that we needed at that moment. It made a total difference in the way my Dad passed away. It allowed me to be the daughter and not a nurse.
