Family Support

Navigating the complexities of a complex or terminal illness doesn’t just affect the person writing their final chapter. It can make a profound impact on loved ones as well.

Research shows that support for family members with a loved one receiving palliative or end of life care is under-resourced in most healthcare settings. In fact, most palliative care programs have no system in place to offer support to the family. However, when families receive emotional, spiritual, and practical support, research shows they experience improved emotional well-being, better coping mechanisms to manage grief, increased understanding of the dying process, greater ability to make informed decisions about their loved one’s care, and a sense of peace and closure during a difficult time.

Our Family Support services are available to guide family members through your own journey, recognizing that your experience is valid, important, and part of a unique grieving and healing process. Our licensed clinicians and Death Doulas specialize in supporting families in a wide variety of life stages, including Geriatric, Dementia, Palliative and End of Life Care.
